Hello!! 😀 Did you miss me? Lol! I know, I know… where the hell is the bloody chapter? Booo!! Well, I’m sorry! 😶 I have to be honest: Life has been a bit crazy lately (not in a bad way, but still: crazy!), and that’s one of the reasons I haven’t been able to find the time to update the story yet.
But apart from this, there is another reason which involves the story itsself. The next chapter will have a two year time jump (I think I never properly mentioned that), so I had to put every single character through CAS, plus create some new ones. This alone, I’m sure you all know, is sooo exhausting! (Plus, finding decent male hair is sometimes a nightmare as I’ve come to discover.) After being finally done with CAS, I had no choice but to take some time off the game and I’ve just now been starting to get busy with setting up for screenshots again 😥
Sooo the next chapter might take a little longer than usual, but I swear, I’m working on it! 😄 Until it’s ready though, I’ll leave you with some test pictures which may be an epic fail (I hadn’t realized the band was supposed to be one floor above to look good while performing, lol – oh well), but they show the point where we find everyone again. Also, major Jesse makeover alert! 😁

PS- Jowita put up a tool that helps find CC hair (because we all know that lack of good male hair). It is organized in a neat spreadsheet with pictures and links to downloads.

It’s here I’ve stumbled upon it one time during CC hunt. Also, there is a neat folder with Rusty Nail clothes downloads here, although it only contains file names, so you will have to look through his site (the links there don’t work and the creations were kindly reuploaded there). I must say the dresses are really amazing and I used a lot of them on my celebrity wedding guests ♥

Oh, it just shows only one variation of the CAS items, so it doesn’t take too long for everything to show up – you can find it in City Hall/Nraas/Settings/CAS (I think that’s the path)! I should do a complete CC update too, I’ve used so many items with no credit, I feel really bad lol!

It makes me feel so much better when I have everything neatly organized. I, however, started doing this almost halfway through gen2. I just went back and searched for the stuff I used in gen1. It wasn’t that hard since I have a good memory of visuals and also, I keep the number of stuff I use relatively small compared to some other simmers. I love having everything in place, too, in case I need to go back and redo something or start afresh. I know it works for me, but I know my ways are too much of pedantry or may even sound obsessive to others. I, however, think it brings about a lot of advantages both to myself, readers who may want to snach something (I also give direct links, not just creators’ names and I think it is good, too) and creators so that they’re given full credit. If only I was that organized in real life.

I do too. I should go through and do a CC list, but most of what I have others do too. If there is anything anyone wants to know about all they have to do is ask. But so far no one has ever asked.

I love Jesse’s new look! I might be biased because I always prefer short hair over long, but it makes him look less… babyish? I don’t know, but he’s really rockin’ the rockstar look 😀 The new singer looks great as well — I like how he’s a guy rather than a girl (like the last two?), which would be easier on Jesse I think… less drama lol.
I totally get you on the male hairstyles. Out of the maybe hundred or so male hairs that exist, I only like about ten. I’m actually planning on creating my own hairstyles for Gen 4, but before that, I want to make objects and clothing for the upcoming weddings. I hope I can learn fast enough lmao.
Speaking of weddings, how far away is your one? So exciting!

I think it was the only solution for the band, to have a male singer (or maybe a female gay singer, that would have worked too)! Hmmm, more like the last five or six, lmao! 😂

Great pictures ! Jesse is more a rocker now than two years ago. I really can’t wait to read about the new double mic singer.
No worries about the updates I am slow with mine too because some of my sims died by burning because of the heat of the Summer, so I have to replace them in town, I am also in cas a lot to choose all my sims summer clothes, and my cc to clean from the conflicts. (two same items installed in package and in sims3pack)

I so feel you on the male hairs. I end up using the same ones over and over! I do recommend simsoficeandfire on Tumblr, they just uploaded a bunch of male (and female) hairs.

It is quite frustrating, isn’t it? I have significantly fewer male hairstyles too, and since most of them look horrid anyway, I end up using even less – so it’s the same ones over and over again lol!
